IDEA/CONCEPT
This piece captures the essence of transformation and duality. The striking contrast of warm and cool tones across the subject’s face represents the interplay between emotion and thought, passion and serenity. The mural is an exploration of identity, portraying a timeless, almost sculptural beauty with a contemporary, vibrant twist.
EXECUTION & PROCESS
The mural was created using a layering technique, gradually building depth through fine shading and color blending. The artist meticulously airbrushed intricate facial details, bringing an almost photorealistic quality to the subject’s expression. The split-color effect was achieved with controlled gradients, symbolizing the balance between opposing forces—fire and ice, logic and emotion, past and future.
PERSONAL REFLECTION
