IDEA/CONCEPT
This mural represents a celestial guardian, a fusion of classical art and modern street expression. The angelic figure, inspired by Renaissance sculptures, is reimagined with neon-hued wings symbolizing transcendence, protection, and light amidst the urban chaos. The contrast between the monochrome statue and the vibrant, glowing wings bridges the past and present, tradition and rebellion.
EXECUTION & PROCESS
The artist meticulously layered aerosol and acrylic paints to create depth and dimension in the angel's figure, giving it a stone-like texture reminiscent of ancient sculptures. The wings, painted with a luminous gradient of blues and pinks, evoke the feeling of energy and movement, achieved through strategic light projection and blending techniques. The raw brick wall background was deliberately preserved, allowing the rugged street textures to interact with the artwork organically.
PERSONAL REFLECTION
I wanted to create a guardian spirit for the city—something that feels ancient yet alive, serene yet powerful. The contrast between stone and light, history and modernity, is what makes this piece a visual dialogue between past and future.
